Glews Adds Fuel to Superbikers’ Championship Hopes
Glews have donated another £150 worth of fuel to help a young, local motorbike racer take the next steps in this racing career.
Charlie Atkins aged 13 from Goole has been riding since he was 5 years old and has proved to be a talented motorcycle racer. Charlie is now racing in the top class in the UK and regularly competes against youngsters much older than he is. He is now riding a GP Pure Race Bike in the Hel Performance Motorstar Championship.
Charlie has just competed at Thruxton just north of Southampton and set some impressive times including a personal best. He finished the weekend in 10th place.
Jane Richardson, Director at Jos Richardson & Son Ltd who own Glews Garage said “Charlie has gone from strength to strength since we last supported him in 2012, he is obviously very talented so we are delighted to be able to continue to help towards the costs of attending the races. We wish Charlie all the best”
Gareth Atkins, Charlie’s Dad said “we are very grateful to Glews for the contribution towards our fuel costs. Charlie travels up and down the country for races and so we get through a lot of fuel. It is great when local businesses get behind Charlie and want to help out.”
