Glews' Valeter celebrates 20 years with Company
Valeter Richard Aldam is celebrating 20 years with local family business Glews Garage. Richard started working for the Company on 2 September 1999.
Richard has seen many changes at the firm over the years. When he started he was working in valeting bay in the workshops at Richwood Garage, which was later demolished to make way for the truck stop that stands today. At that time there was a Peugeot dealership with workshops, a bodyshop and a retail valeting department under the Richwood roof.
The valeting team at Glews are now solely responsible for valeting customers cars that come in for a service and for preparing used cars for sale.
Richard initially thought he would take the job for a about year as it was something different. He admits the last 20 years have flown by!
Richard was presented with a bottle of champagne and vouchers by Jane Richardson, Director and Graham Andrews, Director, gave a speech thanking Richard for his hard work and commitment over the years.
Graham said “Richard has worked very hard and is an important part of the team at Glews. We estimate that he has valeted over 21,000 cars in his time at the firm. Glews is committed to providing customers with a very high standard of service and the valeting team are an integral part of this. We want to thank Richard for everything he has done for the Company and we wish him continued success in his role”
