Glews and Longs raise £200 for The Castaways
Local Service Stations Glews Garage, Goole and Longs Corner Service Station, Howden celebrated Valentines by raising £200 for local charity Castaway Goole Music Theatre.
Over Valentine’s weekend Glews and Longs sold 62 car washes and donated £1.50 per car wash to go towards The Castaways’ next production, A Midsummer Night's Dream, which takes place from July 16th - July 20th at Junction, Goole.
Jos Richardson’s Marketing Manager Jane Richardson said “we were thrilled to welcome some of the cast to our Longs Corner store on Friday and hear all about the production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream which they are currently rehearsing. We hope that the money raised at Longs Corner and Glews this weekend will help relieve some of the pressure of fundraising for the production”
As well as the car wash promotion employees at Longs Corner in Howden held a successful cake and bake sale raising a further £107. The cakes and buns all made by the staff at Longs and sold out that morning.
