Glews raises more than £500 for local good causes

Glews pledged to donate £10 each time a customer took a car for a test drive on the weekends of May 22 and 23, and 29 and 30. The Vauxhall and Peugeot dealer added another £30 each time a customer ended up buying the car, increasing its donation to £40!

A total of £560 was raised over the course of the two weekends and has been shared equally between the Jerry Green Dog Rescue centre at Gilberdyke and Candlelighters, Yorkshire's pre-eminent childhood cancer charity.

Joseph Richardson, director, said: "I'm thrilled that we got such a fantastic response from our customers and managed to raise a decent sum of money for each of our chosen charities. Both organisations do fantastic work within the local area. I'd like to thank everyone who supported the event by coming to test drive one of our cars."
